The Shipstrike instruments use the finest German movements designed for mass production. Their faces are aluminum, and the bezel features a hidden hinge for easy access to the winding ports. The clock strikes the traditional ship’s bells – one bell for each half hour on a four hour watch at sea. After eight bells, at four, eight and twelve o’clock, the sequence repeats itself beginning with one bell. The matching aneroid barometer has a single-bellows movement. See the Ship's Bell Collection for bases. |
