Maptech Chart Kits

Full-color reproductions of government charts and the only privately published charts warranted for use in navigation. Individual 22 X 17-inch charts are spiral-bound into easy-to-use regional collections. The Kits include from 40 to 90 government charts. Additional information provided include Lat/Lon readouts of major navigation aids, GPS datum for satellite navigation, magnetic courses with distances in nautical miles, compass rose on every page, aerial photos of harbors and anchorages, and now, as new editions are issued, marine facilities listings. Maptech Chart Kits are typically revised and updated every 3-4 years and if you get on their mailing list, they will send you exerpts from Coast Guard Notices to Mariners so that you can update your Chart Kit. That’s why Chart Kits do not carry the usual disclaimer that the charts are “not intended for navigation”.
