The sextant that has revolutionized celestial navigation. Its reasonable price has made it affordable for offshore sailors and it far outsells any other sextant on the market. The frame is made from lightweight aluminum alloy which resists corrosion and, at 2 lbs, 10 oz, makes for a lighter, more easily handled sextant than the solid brass ones available. It is accurate to within 20 seconds. It has an electrically-lighted arc and drum (powered by two AA batteries), excellent optics, and a traditional half-silvered mirror (A full-view, whole-horizon mirror is available on request). It comes with a varnished wooden case, instruction book, certificate of accuracy, vial of oil, and adjusting wrench. It includes 4 index and 3 horizon mirrors, and a 3.5 x 40 monocular telescope as standard equipment.
